All is Not Lost: A New Animated TV Series
When a young and restless asteroid crash-lands on Earth unintentionally kickstarting an extraordinary new evolution spanning millions of years of transformation and survival.
ALL IS NOT LOST is a new animated series that combines comedy, science fiction, and biting satire to tell the story of how new life restarts on Earth after yet another cataclysm. The series is based on our short film of the same name, shown to critical acclaim during its 2023/24 festival run.
The series follows Ook, a troubled asteroid searching the universe for someone he lost eons ago. When Ook crash-lands on a recently ruined Earth, he meets The Remnants – a ragtag group of creatures born from the scraps of left-over debris. Ook carries with him a small group of stowaways: The Vibelers, elemental beings who become the unexpected agents of evolution. As this unlikely collection of characters navigate through the ages, they begin to develop into something greater, together building a brand-new world.
As each episode moves forward by surprising evolutionary transformations the characters evolve in leaps and bounds, developing into the altogether unpredictable, unrecognisable inhabitants of a new world order. The story is punctuated by the voice of an omniscient narrator who delivers a sharp, often poetic, commentary on the brutality, absurdity, and beauty of life.
Aimed at young adults and adults (13+) the series is visually inventive – fusing stop-motion and drawn animation – the series mixes the surreal with the poignant, blending science fiction and comedy and inviting the viewers to laugh, reflect, and wonder at the endless possibilities of existence.
- Episode length: 11 minutes
