Deep in an underground cave,
All is not well, but there might be light at the end of the tunnel…

Synopsis:
When a cataclysmic volcanic eruption flings a jumble of debris deep into a dark underground cave, these shattered components of life, an assortment of shells, sticks, eyes, rocks and limbs driven by the eternal instinct for survival, quickly reassemble into new living creatures.
Almost immediately it is clear that some creatures are brutal and aggressive while others are compassionate and helpful.
Pandemonium breaks out when molten lava pours into the cave. In the rush to escape some creatures cruelly push others out of the way and into the burning lava, while some, at risk to themselves, cooperate in order to help each other reach safety.
Managing to escape in the nick of time they all tumble into a mysterious cavern where a perilous confrontation unfolds which leads to a surprising ending.
All is Not Lost blends suspense with humour and has a highly distinctive visual style fusing natural objects with specially crafted materials. The technique is an inventive and original combination of stop-motion and drawn animation.
