Secret Gardeners

Written, Directed & Produced: Ruth Beni

The Secret Gardeners was made in collaboration with the children’s rights charity ECPAT UK, and it’s based on the real-life experiences of the boys and girls from the charity’s work in fighting child trafficking. It depicts what is now one of the most common forms of exploitation in the UK – children enslaved in cannabis factories. The film is being shown expensively in Vietnam and it also aims to educate those working with young people in the UK about the rights of victims of trafficking, as well as help raise public awareness of the abuse of children in drug supply chains.
